Kriti and I connected on Threads– a social media platform I otherwise consider to be the lawless void of entrepreneurship, but I suppose in this case, I’ll give it a pass. She was looking for a copywriter to help with a sales page for her new service, so I threw my name in the hat. Lucky for me, Kriti and I hit it off instantly, and decided to move forward on the project together.
In this case study, I’ll tell you all about the creative marketing concept she had for launching her new Pinterest service, how I used it to write the copy, and what the final result ended up sounding like.
the client
the brief
Kriti Chiturri owns a digital marketing marketing business that’s all about creating a vibrant, fun, and seamless marketing experience for creative brands. Inspired by tropical lushness and the laid-back vibe of island living, Kriti helps business owners feel at ease when it comes to marketing themselves, particularly on social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest.
Whether it’s crafting engaging content or launching strategic services, Kriti’s goal is to maks marketing feel like a breeze—blending passion, purpose, and a whole lot of fun into everything she does.
Kriti’s newest offering, "Pinterest in a Week" (PIAW), is designed to provide clients with a customized Pinterest strategy, making it easier than ever to get started on the platform with confidence. By offering a week-long deep dive into strategy buildout and pin creation, followed by a week of hands-on support, this service sets up creative, bold brands for long-term success on Pinterest.
The sales page needed to emphasize out the value of PIAW in a way that felt light-hearted yet professional, helping prospective clients feel confident and excited about signing up. The goal was to create messaging that not only reflected the playful, fun vibe of the brand, but also conveyed the tangible results that clients could expect from working together.
To play into the tropical vibes of her brand, Kriti wanted to give Pinterest in a Week an island-inspired vibe of its own. She wanted the service to have a tropical vacation theme, with the weeklong service being positioned as a weeklong getaway from the stress of marketing. The design of the sales page was going to be bright, fun, and tropical, and she wanted the copy to have the same theme.
The Process
The overall goal for the sales page was to clearly articulate the benefits of the offering while emphasizing the tropical getaway theme and maintaining Kriti’s relaxed and approachable tone.
On our kickoff call, I learned more about Kriti’s longterm vision for Pinterest in a Week and the type of clients she wanted to attract. We chatted about how this service could stand out in the market and reflect the fun vibe of her branding.
As part of my research, I looked at a few of Kriti’s current clients whom she helps with Instagram and Pinterest marketing. I wanted to see what these clients had in common, what their social media presences looked like, and how those presences had shifted since Kriti came in to help them.
Once I finished up the research phase, I got to work on writing the copy with a focus on a few key points:
Clear value proposition
I needed to highlight that Pinterest in a Week offers clients an in-depth strategy tailored to their business in just one week, making it clear that this was a high-impact, efficient service designed to deliver results quickly, rather than an investment in a longer-term service like management or done-for-you posting.
tropical getaway theme
Kriti wanted the sales page to feel like a sales page for something like a travel advisor or a luxury resort. She wanted to use lots ofword play and analogies to tie in the tropical getaway theme, while still being clear about what the service was and how it was helpful to her ideal clients.
client empowerment
The copy needed to emphasize that by the end of the week, Kriti’s clients will have not only a custom strategy but also the tools and confidence to keep their Pinterest strategy going strong—this was key to appealing to creative, self-driven clients.
The Final Product
We packed a lot of character into this simple sales page. Here’s a peek at some of my favorite sections:
The Tropical Getaway Theme
Rather than a typical ‘Here’s how it works’ section, I wrote the breakdown of the service in the format of a vacation itinerary (Kriti even added in some cutie vacation-inspired names for each of the days!) For the deliverables, I used phrases like ‘Included with your stay’ to describe deliverables of the service, and ‘Available at check-out’ to introduce the week of 1:1 Slack support clients get at the end of the intensive.
Resolving Client Hesitations
…But make it cute. This call-out will hit home with anyone who’s had ‘Figure out Pinterest’ on their backburner to-do list for months now, but has taken precisely zero action to make it happen (myself included.)
The Final Call-to-Action
Referring to the service as the permanent escape from marketing stress was the perfect way to tie a bow on the tropical getaway theme.
When asked about her experience working with me, here’s what Kriti had to say:
“Jessie’s energy is super fun, and it made the process of working with her so great and lighthearted. I loved everything about working with her. It was so smooth and quick - which was just amazing. She nailed the brief almost immediately, which I think is so unique and rare!”
