let's work together

I approach writing like the art form that it is.

Telling stories, especially stories like yours, filled with the ups and downs and twists and turns it takes to build a successful business, is not to be treated like any other task.

Writing-- good writing, like really, truly, "Ooooh, I feel this in my bones," "I want to bottle this feeling up and keep it forever," good writing-- is a practice to be savored. To be celebrated. To been as an art.

And I don't think we should lose sight of that art form for the sake of business.

In an effort to keep the "art" in marketing (sorry, had to!), I treat each email, each website, each word as its own little work of art.

(While also, of course, keeping in mind the other important things like increasing your sales conversion rate, organic traffic, and lead captures, of course.)

I've wanted to be writer for as long as I can remember, and I have the first handwritten, hamburger-folded, and hand-stapled "novel" I ever wrote to prove it (it was a second grader's ever creative, totally unique and not ever been done before retelling of Cinderella, of course).

I joke that I've lived a million different lives in the 26 years I've been alive, and that's only kind of an exaggeration. I'm the oldest of three kids from a military family, and I moved 10 times before I turned 18. Eight states and three high schools later, making conversation and telling stories seemed like the perfect gig for me.

I graduated college in 2020 with an English degree, but before I put it use, I took a little detour through the fitness industry and spent a few years as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Lots of early wakeups for 5:00 AM workout classes, quite a few treadmill sprints, and a few "I think I really do want to write for a living" epiphanies later, I founded First Rodeo Creative in June 2023.

Running, taking the pups to the dog park, watching Real Housewives (Jersey is my fav, followed closely by Potomac), and spending too much time on Pinterest.

A classic marg (made with Espolon, pls) on a Friday, checkered print anything, *that* specific shade of cobalt blue, my husband, Connor, and my first love, Harry Styles.

Tower28 SOS Spray, Loops ear plugs, no screen time after 8PM, the Baggu crescent bag, and getting tattoos that have no meaning just because you can.

I treat myself every! single! day! with my delightful little morning and evening routines. I could not live without my Hatch alarm clock and Oura ring.

I don't think I've gone a week without eating some form of gummy candy. Nerds Gummy Clusters, Haribo Goldbears, and Sour Gushers are always on rotation.

I've always been a nonfiction girly; I love a good essay a la Rebecca Solnit or Joan Didion. Let's be honest, though, I'm not above reading Deux Moi's Sunday Sightings every week.
